A look at one of the lower areas of Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater. I titled it "The Bowl" because of the bowl sitting on top of the stone wall.
For anyone who hasn't been to Fallingwater this image is just a tiny snippet of the beauty there. The whole house and other buildings on the grounds are all done in this wonderful stone work.
The house itself is a marvel and is designed in such a way that is in total harmony with the beautiful nature surrounding it. Plenty of outdoor space to be able to commune with nature!
If you'd like to see more images of Fallingwater you can visit the sites listed on the top right on my blog and also the lower right too.

"Since 1951"
I can't tell you much about the place in this image because I was in such a hurry to get this shot on a very crowded and hot summers day in Charlottesville Va., that I didn't take in much more than the beauty of the structure, and the date on the neon sign!
Every time I tried to take a shot someone would walk in front of the camera. I don't know what struck me so much about this place, but it was one of those times that your mind just said, "I like this, take a photo!"
Downtown Charlottesville has undergone many many changes over the years. The major one in my lifetime was the main street that flowed through the heart of downtown being converted from a street you could drive on, to a purely pedestrian area that is closed off to cars.
This place of business has seen a lot of changes, but it's outward appearance hasn't changed, and I really love that!
It's wonderful to see places preserved whether it's from thousands of years ago or 50 years ago. History and the architecture of the time needs to be cherished and preserved!
I hope you enjoy this as much as I did!!

"The Inn at Court Square"
This historical building in Charlottesville Virginia was built in 1785, now named The Inn at Court Square, and located near downtown in what is known as Court Square. It is a lovely bed and breakfast that has been restored to the historic time period it was built. It also serves a quite wonderful lunch and dinner.
It retains it's historic charm from both inside and out and shouldn't be missed on any trip to Charlottesville!
